The garage is the C-9’s equipment planner. It is not a workshop. Nothing is made there. It decides what goes where.
# Mounts
Each hardpoint holds one owned weapon. Installing a weapon assigns it to a mount and may change reactor demand. A weapon can be moved between mounts at any time. A chassis with fewer mounts leaves the extra ones inactive but keeps them owned.
# Try before you buy
Previewing a part or chassis in the garage does not spend credits. Pilots are encouraged to plan a loadout fully before visiting a cache.
# In the story
In the archive, the garage is the carrier’s planning software: a model Yara Demir wrote so a single pilot could refit the C-9 without a ground crew. The model checks every proposed loadout against the coupler’s output and flags anything that would leave a mount dark. Marek ignores the flags more often than Yara would like.
